2016 Holiday Housewalk ~ Home for Christmas

We made it to Day 5 of the 2016 Holiday Housewalk!  This is its 6th year running and each year gets better and better!  My mind is a glorious whirlwind of Christmas inspiration after peeking in all the beautifully decorated homes this week!

Christmas Home Tour 2016 ~ Rusty Hinge

You just dropped in at Rusty Hinge, Stop #30 on the tour.  Welcome to our turn-of-the-century Victorian situated in northern Michigan.  This will be our third Christmas here and we are knee-deep in some impressive cosmetic updates, but not to worry, we were able to finish a couple rooms just in time for our Christmas tour!

If you are here by way of  The Shabby Nest, Wendy's home in Utah, welcome, so glad to have you!  Wendy, your home looks amazing!

To take another peek into her home, simply *Click Here* or on the button below.

Want to take another go from the very beginning of the Holiday Housewalk?  Simply *Click Here* or on the button below to head back to Day 1 of the tour.

We are also delighted to welcome our awesome sponsor, Wayfair!   Ever been on their site?  If you need anything at all, you are merely a couple clicks away from it arriving on your doorstep.  Seriously be careful though, many hours have been known to disappear browsing through all the wares (especially the furniture department!)

All right, that being said...

Christmas music turned up?  Check!
            Coffee mug in hand?  Check!
                      Warm blanket?  Check!
Snuggled in your favorite chair?  Check!  Check!

Yay!  Looks like we are all set!  Let's go!  First up, the entry room!

Vintage French Sleigh

An antique French sleigh resides on a vintage garden table in the entry room.  Fresh pine greens are a staple in our Christmas decor!

Antique Italian Chandelier Decorated with Vintage Bells

Vintage Sleigh Bells

I love decorating with these vintage sleigh bells at Christmas time, now available in the shop!  Here, I hooked them to our antique Italian chandelier hanging above the garden table.

Victorian Woodwork Staircase

This lovely holiday throw is from Wayfair!  I adore red and white together, especially at Christmastime!

Vintage Shiny Brite Ornament Collection

Yes, this beautiful tree was found at Wayfair!  I completed the look with red glass balls and birds clipped to the flocked branches.

Hmm, what to do with a collection of Victorian door knobs?  Why, of course!

An old funnel adds a festive touch re-purposed into a decorated tree complete with lights, ornaments, and even its very own star topper!

THANK YOU for coming along with us thus far on the tour!  It has been wonderful having you!
Good news, the tour doesn't end here, next stop is Kindred Vintage!  Susan is beautiful inside and out and so is her decorating style!  You won't want to miss it, so get over there and say hello.

Merry Christmas, friends!
