A Wonderful New Addition to Our House

Hello everyone!  I am very sorry that I haven't posted lately, summer has a way of keeping me very busy!  I am sure all of you can relate!  This past weekend, with the help of Karl's family, we added a new deck to the front of our house.  They came in from out of town Friday morning and it was finished already Saturday at noon!  We had a full house and it was a lot of fun!

All done!  Doesn't it look great?  A big thank-you to Uncle Duane, Craig, Dad and Mom!!!  We love it!!!

Finished just in time for a small gathering with great friends!

I hope you don't mind if I add a few more garden pictures!  With our short summers, I want to be out here all the time!

I can't have garden pictures without showing you my window boxes!

Thank-you for continuing to come by!  I very much enjoy gardening and decorating and if you stick with me, I promise many more pictures to come!  Have a wonderful weekend!

A Favorite Blog

Good day, everyone!  Today, I want to share with you an inspiring lady and show you her blog.  Tracey's ideas and creativity are amazing and her home is absolutely beautiful!  I can't wait to show you some of her pictures from her blog, French Larkspur!

She also loves to decorate with vintage grain sacks.  I think grain sacks are my favorite thing.  I have them everywhere and you can never have enough!

I LOVE her kitchen!  We have yet to update our little ol' country kitchen, but when we do someday, I hope it turns out looking like this!  Very cute, Tracey!

I have a bed very similar to this...I can't wait to set it up in one of our upstairs bedrooms!

So you see why I love and follow her blog?  These pictures that I shared with you don't even scratch the surface!  Make sure you go over and check out the rest!  Her home is also featured in one of my new favorite books, Romantic Prairie Style by Fifi O'Neill.

My dream is to have my home featured in a book like this or decorating magazine, maybe someday!  Go pick up the book, trust me you will love it!  And oh how amazing are all the pictures... I could look at them all day!

Beautiful Hanging Baskets and a Giveaway

Good Afternoon, everyone!  I hope you are all having a wonderful day!  As you all know, I love flowers and one of my favorite things to do is to go flower shopping!  Every year, Mom and I go to our local greenhouse to pick out fabulous annual baskets and flats.  I always let her pick out a special basket for Mother's Day.  When I leave, my little car is stuffed to the brim with flowers...

I hope you don't mind that I also sneak in more pictures of some spring bloomers in my garden!

I have a special treat to share with you as well... Maria is giving away a 250.00 gift card to her online shop, Dreamy Whites!  If you would like to enter, please visit Maria's blog and post a comment on what you love from her store   *Enter Here*

Happy Memorial Day

Good afternoon, everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful week!  Do you have any special plans for the Memorial Day weekend?  I love summer holidays most because they are so carefree and laid back.  I am very excited to take a trip over to the Burley Park Flea Market on Monday!  I try to make it there at least once a year.  It is held Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and the first Sunday of August and October.  I hope to bring home lots of wonderful treasures that I will be sure to show you later!

Today, I want to share with you some pictures of my living room!

I snagged this cute barrel at a local garage sale.  It makes the perfect end table!

This wonderful french basket is from Maria at her Dreamy Whites online store.  She sells the most amazing french farmhouse antiques.  I would buy one of everything, if I could!

I made these Allium blooms from dark purple yarn and twigs picked from my yard.

I love all kinds of glass bottles and how the light shines through them when they are grouped together.  I picked these antique seltzer bottles up from Yasmine's home and garden shop, Maison Reve!

Last, but not least, my favorite find of all... a huge rose painting framed with antique ceiling tin tiles.  I love the shabby and chic look it adds to our living room.
Well, thank-you for showing interest and coming back to check in!  I love sharing with you and you are greatly appreciated!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day!
