Today is my anniversary! I have been blogging for one whole year! Can you believe how fast it flew by? The saying is so true...'time flies when you're having fun!' And it's all because of you, so I have a very special treat! I am excited to announce my very first giveaway here at Rusty Hinge! My wonderful blogging friend, Heather from Post Road Vintage, has so generously offered all of my readers a chance to win a $50 gift certificate (thank-you so much, Heather!) to her lovely shop. What perfect timing, Heather just released her new spring line called, Whispers of Spring! Here is a peek at it, in all it's awesomeness...
{Mason Jar Soap Dispenser} -my favorite!
(I love these soap dispensers and am looking to purchase another from Heather! I want one at all my sinks!)

All you have to do to be entered in the giveaway is leave me a comment letting me know what you are planting in your garden this year (because I love to garden!) and if you don't garden, let me know who you would invite to your warm-summer-night alfresco dinner party if you hosted one tonight! It's that simple!
For additional entries, you can Facebook, Twitter, pin on Pinterest, or post on your blog about this giveaway. AND for an extra bonus entry, please sign up for Heather's fabulous quarterly E-zine, Homebound (or tell me you already subscribe.) You can sign up for Homebound *Here* or in my sidebar as well. Please make sure that you leave a separate comment for each one.
On a final note, I just picked up my copy of Fifi's Romantic Prairie Style magazine and love, love, LOVE it! And I know without-a-doubt that you will love it too, SO to sweeten the pot, I am going to include a one-year subscription to Romantic Prairie Style magazine in the giveaway!
One winner will be drawn at random and the giveaway ends on May 15 at midnight.
A HUGE thank-you goes out to you! Let's celebrate one year together, shall we? I am so grateful that you chose to stick around!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Maria ~Rusty Hinge

ReplyDeleteLove your blog...I'm working on my tomato plants this year.
ReplyDeleteCongrats...hope your next year is filled with joy and happiness...❤
ReplyDeleteHi there - Love your blog! I wish I had a garden but I don't. But, I do like to host parties and get togethers! So, who would I invite to my next one? I know. I would like to invite all the ladies who write my favorite blogs! Yeah, that's it. And, we could talk all evening about all the pretties we own, new ideas for decorating, where we like to hunt for our treasures, etc. Doesn't that sound like fun? Of course, there would be lovely tea sandwiches and lots of delicious desserts to enjoy. Okay, gotta go and find some nice invitations! ~ Joanne ~ glamourgirljoanne@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThis is cool giveaway ! Please include me !

ReplyDeleteHi! I'm already a follower of Heather's ideas and Post Road Vintage. Love the beauty of the simplicity in her (and your) ideas! Starting my gardening all over again, after a recent move here to a very small gardening area, where I already have raspberry transplants, strawberry plants, lavender (can't live without it), and now adding vegetables, pansies, johnny-jump-ups, and will try two small burning bush plants. Happy Anniversary to you, and I wish you all a great spring planting season, and a great harvest throughout the summer and fall.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! Started a new perennial bed last year so will be adding lots of pretties there. Will be planting my window boxes with geraniums... just like a favorite great aunt used to do. The newest addition to my porch plantings is a wire flea market shopping cart.Sounds like I'd better get busy!

ReplyDeleteJust found your blog through Heather's!
ReplyDeleteWe help our daughter in raising her two and a half year old son. He is with us four nights a week because she has to leave so early for work in the mornings. I think it's important that he learn about gardening and where his food comes from, so we started a small garden just for him since we were not able to have a big garden this year. I showed him how to cut the end off a carrot and get it started in water in a container on the windowsill. Then we planted it in a half bag of potting soil. It's still growing beautifully! We also have cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers planted in containers. Every day when our grandson comes over he has to check his garden! He is learning when to provide water, and during a recent cold snap that plants have to be protected from the elements! I'm really looking forward to his being able to harvest his food and help in the kitchen as we prepare it!
Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the contest!
Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary! I love to garden too and I have been planting hydrangeas, hydrangeas, and more hydrangeas. love, love, love them!

ReplyDeleteThis year in my garden, I planted: vegetables - okra, artichokes, vidalia onions, tomatoes, and peppers. My herb garden includes: thyme, oregano, tarragon, rosemary and mint.
Yes I love gardening, flowers - mixture of wild flowers in a raised bed for cutting arrangements.
I would love to be the lucky winner of the beautiful giveaway.
I don't have much of a garden to speak of but the one plant I do love in my garden is a hydrangea transplanted from a seedling in my mother's garden. I told her I want to get more and fill up my little garden with those!

ReplyDeleteHappy happy joy joy to you on your anniversary! We just moved into a new for us house on the Oregon coast, so as I sit surrounded by cardboard boxes and overgrown azaleas, I dream of my little back porch becoming a charming spot complimented by my rusty iron table and chippy bistro chairs. I finally gave into my need to garden, and bought lavendar and thyme plants that sit in their mundane nursery pots, awaiting a spot to establish their roots. I already have plans for my first alfresco evening, which will happen in July when my best girlie from Colorado comes to visit. Then, her, my lovely daughter and I will chat and giggle till our cheeks hurt.
