I do love all those themed, magazine-worthy Christmas trees pinned on my Pinterest boards, and I know our's probably looks a little hodgepodge compared to those beauties, but here's why: each Christmas, Mom and Dad gifted an ornament with the handwritten year to hang on the tree. Now in our own home, each one of those special ornaments adorns our Christmas tree. Although out of the nest, this favorite tradition continues on, my parents still gift us with an ornament each Christmas!

I love this Balsam Hill Countdown To Christmas calendar complete with metal number tags. Hanging on the message board fashioned from a vintage crib base, it sits right at home with all our friends and family Christmas cards!
